  anonymizing remailer v1.1

This is the homepage for the metacolo Anonymizing Remailer.

For basic information on anonymous remailers, please go to the wikipedia entry on anonymous remailers.

http://www.noreply.org/allpingers/ is the best source of statistics about the remailer network.

The metacolo anonymous remailer has been operational since 2003. The same team has operated anonmous remailers since 1996 (the "SOF" remailer hosted at MIT, and the "HavenCo" remailer hosted on Sealand). We plan to operate future privacy-protecting Internet services as well, with the goal of enhanced usability while retaining high levels of security.

metacolo operates an anonymizing remailer for customers of metacolo and the general public. No warranty express or implied is given as to the security of this remailer.
The following text files are available:
mix@remailer.metacolo.com - Address of the Remailer. In addition to sending messages here, sending an empty note to this address with any of the following subjects will give you useful info:
  • Subject: remailer-help - Instructions on how to use the remailer.
  • Subject: remailer-conf - Current configuration of the remailer.
  • Subject: remailer-key - Current PGP and Mixmaster keys for the remailer.
  • Subject: remailer-stats - Statistics for remailer
  • Subject: remailer-adminkey - Administrative key for PGP encrypted mail to admin
abuse@remailer.metacolo.com - Send complaints here. A real human will read them.
admin@remailer.metacolo.com - Remailer admin's address. Send general comments, questions, suggestions, donations, jokes, recipes, and death threats here. A real human will read them. (although aggressive automated spamfiltering is applied on this inbox)

More information about metacolo will be available eventually. Expansion of metacolo's privacy protecting services is currently on the back-burner due to other projects. (we'd love to solve the problem of spam, provide alternative alternative communications infrastructure, offer anonymous internatonal payment technology and markets, and provide a secure fabric for "agent" computing with remote attestation)
